Really easy to get off as said just center plastic rivet and go. Make sure you DON'T BEND IT... AT ALL. If it's bent, when you go to put it back on it will sit funny or always have a corner sticking out. But I've got the JBL GTO components with tweeter in the door. One side not also on audio, if you want to wire up speakers you pretty much have to lay fresh speaker wire from the radio but when you do that put the crossovers behind the radio or else when you try to place them in the door they can interfere with window or get wet. Found this out the hard way. I installed everything, next week read on the JBL site not to place inside door panels so I spent another couple hours pulling wires and moving stuff around... Kind of a long side note post but I thought it was a good story lol
